Most of the ideas I get for lessons come either from podcasts, or from the life lived around me. There is a show on Disney called Super Natural that the kids and I binged a while back. We just rewatched the episode about animal partnerships. Benedict Cumberbatch’s voice paired with insane video quality makes it a pretty captivating show.

There’s a washed out road near our house that the neighbors conveniently never fixed since it was actually nice to have it be no access to vehicles. We can easily walk back there even with my crew that wanders, meanders, and randomly will sit down to take a rock, dirt, or crunchy leaf sensory break. Back in an open field we found tall ‘weeds’ with light purple flowers and dark purple veins. I think it was the first flower we looked up to find its scientific name. Raphanus Sativus. Said with a magic wand flair, it’s somehow easy to remember. Wild radish. Invasive, but edible and beautiful.
