I got my first cat when I was around six years old. She was a reward because I had (finally) (mostly) stopped sucking my thumb (hush). She wasn’t a kitten kitten just a younger cat so we kept the name Mittens. She moved from Washington to Maryland, Virginia to South Carolina to Pensacola, Florida with me. I had her until I was 16.
